Day 1: Arrival Day Cairo

You arrive at Cairo Airport where we meet and greet and transfer you to your hotel. Our Egypt Uncovered rep. Welcomes you, helps you settle into the hotel, and outlines the plan for the next few days.

Day 2: Pyramids Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

Spend an amazing day trip where you will enjoy best of Cairo & Giza Highlights in Egypt! Will start our trip with an early morning transfer in a comfortable, air-conditioned van, where you will be taken to Giza Plateau, explore more about how the Great Pyramids have been built; a real mystery that has not been solved yet, too many theories about the building process, none of them is confirmed; it has even been said that the tallest man on earth who constructed them!
On that marvelous Plateau, you will be astonished by the master pieces; the Three Pyramids; Greatest among them is "Khufu" or "Cheops" then "Chephren" or Khafraa & "Mykrenus" or "Mankaraa"; well known to be constructed of over 2 million stone blocks. Watch "The Guardian Sphinx"; a chef-d'oeuvre, limestone statue that reveals a true symbol of wisdom & strength.
A real trip would never be completed without paying a visit to "The Egyptian Museum" house of antiquities which holds more than 160'000 master piece, the most famous among them is the Golden Mask of Tut Ankh Amun treasures. You also might like to reveal more secrets about mummification stories at the mummies room (optional).

Day 3 : Drive to Alexandria, visit el Morsi Abu el Abass Mosque ( over day )

After an early breakfast in Cairo we drive for approximately three hours to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. It is here we visit the El Morsi Abu el Abass Mosque. The Mosque is located in a district with many other mosques and you have the remainder of the day to explore the surrounding area then return back to Cairo ,After lunch you will visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in the 15th century on the exact place of ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The next stop will be at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which houses millions of books in its six specialized libraries. In the evening, you will return to your hotel in Cair
Lunch to be served at a fine local restaurant.

Day 4: Fly to Luxor- Luxor/Karnak Temples

After the breakfast, you will transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor.
Upon arrival to Luxor, we check into our hotel, we later visit Karnak Temples at the East bank of the river Nile, the temple complex is huge, then our special visit is to Luxor Temple. This temple is beautiful and very unique as inside the temple we can see the Mosque of Abu El Hagag (very famous in Luxor) and can visit the Mosque then continue your visit to Luxor temple
Then can Visit a local jewellery store where you can have your very own cartouche made before we leave Luxor.

Day 5: Valley of the Kings/Hatshepsut

Optional Hot Air Balloon, a bird’s eye view over the two banks of the River Nile in historical Thebes (Luxor).
After breakfast we drive to the West Bank to visit The Valley of the Kings, climb down into the spectacularly decorated tombs of the Pharaohs.
After that, we visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the first female ruler of ancient Egypt with the full authority of a pharaoh.
Today we will visit a local alabaster factory and see how the hand-made pieces are created.
Later at evening transfer to Luxor airport, back to Cairo.

Day 6 :Citadel tour, visit Al Azhar & Saida Zeinab Mosques

Your tour begins this morning with a visit to the largest Islamic University in the World, this is located in the Al Azhar Mosque. The area is known as the centre of knowledge and is home to the Mosque of Imam el Hussein, the Grandson of the Prophet Mohammed. The mosque is considered the holiest Islamic site in Egypt and can accommodate up to 30,000 people. Close to the Al Azhar Mosque you will find the Saida Zeinab Mosque, she was the granddaughter of the Prophet Mohammed. From here we head to the Imam el Shafi Mosque. Imam el Shafi was one of the founders of the four schools of Islam and for followers of Imam el Shafi this is considered one of the most important sites. We then make our way to the Honoured Street of the Prophets family where the Mosque of Saida Nafisa is located. Saida Nafisa was also the granddaughter of the Prophet Mohammed. There mosques are all located in Old Cairo and no tour to this part of the city would be complete without a visit to the mighty Citadel of Saladin. It is here that we visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali which is built on one of the highest points in Cairo, offering views across the whole city. When returning to our hotel in the afternoon you have the option of a visit to the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar.

Day 7 : Cairo, tour ends with transfer to airport

Your tour ends after breakfast and your time is free until we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
